Men's Conference

February 24th and 25th I am playing guitar at a men's conference in Alexandria, MN. I'm very excited for what God is gearing up to do this weekend and to get to play guitar again at a conference. It's been way too long!

I've also never been to Alexandria so that will be a neat experience as well.

A Visit From The Stork Is Coming!!!!!

Well, I know it really doesn't work that way, but, KERRI IS PREGNANT!!! This is our first child on the way and we are incredibly excited! Kerri is due August 28th. She has been quite sick for the past couple of months. As her first trimester is coming to a close, we're praying that she starts feeling better soon. We would appreciate your prayers as well.

We know that many changes are coming and we're gearing up for them. We thank God for blessing us with Baby Kent!

Back From The Dead!

Well, not really. It's time to start blogging again. Kerri and I are still living in Minnesota in the great town of Woodbury. It's still just the two of us with none on the way. Kerri is teaching 3rd grade at New Life Christian Academy and I work at Medtox Laboratories.

We are now attending Valley Creek Church in Lake Elmo, MN. It's new to us but full of potential for us to jump in head first and get plugged in! We're very excited for the possibilities that await us. I am also excited to get back into an Assemblies of God church. That is what I grew up in and am glad to be back! I'll be put on the rotation as a guitarist starting in January. They want to "rock out" the music even more from what they do now...I can definitely do that!

Kerri and I lead our own small group that studies specifically marriage and how God intends marriage to be. I also lead a men's discipleship group which is one of the highlights of my week! I still teach guitar lessons and currently have two students I teach weekly.

Winter is here and I'm praying I can get out ice fishing this coming weekend. I just got a new ice tent that I am SO EXCITED to use! It will provide many years of great use! Bring on the ice!

I've Graduated!!

Yesterday was my graduation from McNally Smith College of Music! I graduated Magna Cum Laude with an AAS degree in guitar performance. My family and Kerri's family came up for the graduation. It was great to see them!

It's been quite a year full of sacrifices and faith! We've had no choice but to fully rely on God to get us through the last year and a half. We are so thankful for all the suppport given to us from our family and friends. Most of all, we praise God and give thanks to Him for provided our EVERY need. We've always had just enough money to pay the bills and have food on the table. God has definitely shown His faithfulness and provision to us and we are so blessed! We are very excited to see what God has in store for us now! It's always an adventure!!!!

We're Moving!!!

Today we signed the lease for a townhouse in Woodbury, MN! We're moving to Woodbury mid-January. The name of the townhouse complex is Sienna Ridge Townhomes. It's located on the very east edge of Woodbury. It definitely has a country feel yet is very close to the city. Kerri and I are SO excited to be closer to all our friends from small group.

ALSO, Kerri has officially been accepted for a 14 week long-term substitute position at New Life Christian Academy in Woodbury. She starts that on January 4th. Kerri has experience teaching at a Christian Academy so this will be an awesome fit for her. Hopefully this will open a door for her to have a full time teaching job! We're praying God will open the door for her to have her own classroom for an entire year (and more!).

Turkey Time!!!

Tonight Kerri and I are having Thanksgiving dinner with our small group from church. It should be a lot of fun! Tomorrow we're heading back to Iowa for Thanksgiving. We'll be in Cedar Rapids through Friday and head to Sumner Saturday morning to visit Kerri's family. We'll head back to Minnesota on Monday. We're looking forward to seeing everyone but all the driving is going to stink. I vote people come see us for the holidays next year!!! Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!!

Pheasant Hunting

Today is opening day of pheasant season in Iowa. I hunted with my Dad and two brothers. We hunted all day an only saw two pheasants. It was terrible! Because of all the rain Iowa has received, nearly all the crops are still in the field and there was standing water EVERYWHERE in the places we hunted. The only rooster we saw flew into a private cornfield. We never even shot at a pheasant. However, I did have a great time spending the day with my Dad and brothers! It was a beautiful, windy day and all in all we had a great time (minus the wet boots from water going over the tops of them). Hopefully the hunting will be better in a few weeks, once all the corn and beans are picked.
